O’Hara & Dean Ltd set up New Home Brokering as we had talked to so many people who were confused about the building process.  People felt daunted at the prospect of trying to compare all the building companies offering different plans, specifications and contracts.  We also felt the public’s uneasiness with the building industry after a few companies went into liquidation during the last 24 months.

During our years within the industry we have worked with excellent builders, sub contractors, architectural designers plus valuers and finance specialists so we decided to offer this knowledge and guidance to people interested in building.

With various well known building companies and some lesser known builders, but superb tradesman in their own right, we can now offer a huge range of building options to suit any building project.  We can assist with residential and investment properties, townhouses, hill homes and lifestyle homes.  We will obtain three quotations for design and build projects and analyse and present them to clients with recommendations.  All the companies and builders we refer will have either Masterbuild or Certified Build accreditation.

O’Hara & Dean Ltd ask for a $1,000 bond which is fully refunded back to our clients once they have signed a building agreement with the Building Company of their choice.  We invoice the building company for our time.  Companies will find this service extremely beneficial as they do not have to employ extra staff to handle the pre-build process.  Clients will receive the benefit of our in depth knowledge of the building industry in Christchurch.
